With natural water based formulas, clean preservatives are necessary to protect from mold or pathogenic microorganisms. We preserve our shampoo formula with safe, COSMOS-approved ingredients known as potassium sorbate (from mountain ash berries) and sodium benzoate (found naturally in apples and cranberries)—widely accepted in clean beauty to protect against microbial growth without disrupting your health. Despite using clean, naturally derived preservatives, we keep them at MINIMAL levels—ensuring the majority of the formula is packed with nutrient-rich, functional ingredients.

With natural water based formulas, clean preservatives are necessary to protect from mold or pathogenic microorganisms. We preserve our conditioner formula with Linatural® Ultra-3 — a COSMOS-approved natural preservative system made from plant and coconut-derived pentylene glycol, propanediol, and phenethyl alcohol.
